Find your Aqua Conditioner
A couple of quick questions and we'll point you to the right model, sized by flow rate.
Where do you need soft water?
The flow rate of water in your home
Flow rate is simply the measure of the volume of liquid moving in a certain amount of time, that is, the number of litres of water passing through your pipeline. Knowing it is crucial to choosing the right Aqua Home system, because each product is designed specifically to handle a different flow rate.
Method 1, check your motor's label
If you have a regular pump motor that is easily accessible or a pressure motor, you will find a metal label attached to it with basic information about the motor. On it, look for a number with "Q Max" written next to it. That is your motor's flow rate. LPM or l/min stands for litres per minute.
Note: depending on your pump motor's years of usage and your overhead tank's height, the real flow rate can differ heavily from the label. It is always best to measure it manually with method 2 before investing in an Aqua Home system.
Method 2, measure it with a bucket
Place a bucket inside your overhead tank where the water flows in. Make sure you know the bucket's capacity, usually marked on the bottom. Switch on the motor, start a stopwatch, and measure how fast the bucket fills.
A higher flow rate does not mean better softening. All Aqua Home systems use the same technology and protect you from the same hard water problems. Choosing the model that matches your flow rate is what gives you the best performance.
